    Great information! Thank you for sharing it! Do you have any tips on how long to be off stimulants to get them working again (I think I’m gaining a resistance)? Like a day, a week, a month? Your example of a weekend off caffeine made it seem like skipping one day of stimulants won’t really be worth it. That it won’t get out of your system that fast.

    Sir ,I dont know what I am going through, but I find it very difficult to remember the things which I learn previously (even though I revised multiple times) and my working memory is very much reduced , I cant solve complex maths and computer programs . During solving complex programs , I find it difficult to keep all things which I thought previously ( seconds ago) in my head to solve the problem. Even though I dedicate so much of time in studying , I could not match with my friends scores ( who score more than me by putting lesser effort than me ) and this makes more depressed and tired . Currently I have very bad lifestyle ( junk food, no exercise, no proper sleep) , but I have already tried following these steps and ended up in no results . I am a undergrad student , I need to resolve this to get placed . I need to know the exact reasons and disorder behind this and exact solutions to get back my old brain . This change happened to me before 5 years , currently I am 22 years old . During my school time , my brain was normal and properly functioning. I don’t know what exactly caused this change. Please help me in this , I am really hopeless here

    Strange, cannabis never worked for me as calming down substance. It always forced me to do something creative and get the flow state of mind. I finished my master degree using cannabis all that period. After many years of using I quit my relation with cannabis. I felt much better but Year after year I started to self medicate with alcohol, not mention about coffeine. Now I am struggling to quit with booze. I blame myself all the time since I was 14. Now I am 44 and I still don't know how to manage my adhd brain. I have work, money, family but I feel I can't expand with my potential, I make so many mistakes in my everyday life... @@kamisimpson8555 Cognitive Ergonomics From the Inside out (TM) is an engineering approach to problem solving for those with ADHD. Like any fiedl of engineering one must make factual observations. To do that you need a model with specific definitions and repeatable patterns explained by the model. Dr. Barley's construct is the model used. With specific definitions one must have a lens to observe what is defined (telescope, MRI, regression analysis). AttentionScope (R) is the lens i developed that is used to bring tangibility to what Dr. Barkley defined. The model and lens one can make factual observations and use a six sigma approach to define problems, identify the root cause, and innovate accomodations to solve the problem. The model and the lens are what make my claim that this is a new intervention possible.

    Although I understand what he’s trying to say in this video, I disagree I think payroll deductions are usually for important things like your health benefits, and by using the payroll deduction it becomes in advantage so that you cannot lapse on payments for such important things it works to your advantage and also your employer is going to send you paperwork every year asking you if you want to continue or change anything and that we need to learn that is our moment to actively decide whether we still need it or whether we wanna make an adjustment

    • @AttentionTalkVideo
      @AttentionTalkVideo 4 дня назад

      I used to sell group health insurance back in the 80's and 90's and yes payroll deducation can protect you so your insurace doesn't lapse. Still, as an insurance company we liked it cause you didn't have to make a buying decision every month. What we really liked was payrol deduction for other voluntary benefits. that said, the same goes for subscriptions. In coaching i can't tell you how many people have subscriptions to things they never use.

    Hello I have a question. So if my point of performance issue is in studying and researching I would have to gather books, information and research papers and either a laptop or notebook to take down notes firstly Secondly i would have to plan how i will study and what specific modules and research papers i woild focus on. Thirdly i would than have to plan the sessions according to time and develop a system for consequences and external motivation and than finally i can start studying Is this the best way of studying and maintain it as well?

      Life isn't as methodical as you listed but yes, in general you want to have what you need in front of you. That includes materails, tools (like a printer) and often someone with whom you can collaborate with in times when you run into ambiguity. Thanks for tuning in.

    Is there a study about mixing nicotine (tobacco) and cannabis? Ive been smoking weed for a long time and ive found that when i mix it with tobacco i feel way sharper. My adhd is less present and i can think more clearly. Is there anything out there that could explain this?

      You were hoping this video would give you tips on how to make thinking easier? Could it be because you didn't/don't want to think about it? Please don't take my comment wrong. You are not the only one that would make such a commment. The reason i point it out is because it emphasises the point of the video. In general collaboration is helpful... past that it is hard to answer your question. Why? because it depends on you, your learning modalities, and situation variables. In general the video was intended to point out the issue and help people to step in the the mindset of not just guessing at a tip or trick but to look at what they are doing and ask themselves what would make this easier... the idea is to get them to try and problem solve not passively guess. thanks for posting

    I can accept that having ADHD means that i won't exercise as frequently. But the core truth that excercise is really beneficial doesn't change. I've adjusted the level/type of excercise that I set up for myself. But I won't ever abandon the notion that excercise will improve my day, just because i am unable to excercise everyday.

    • @AttentionTalkVideo
      @AttentionTalkVideo 17 дней назад

      If exercsie could be put in a pill it would be the ADHD drug of the century... so yes exercise is a good thing. I myself used to swim 4 hours a day in HS and college, then did triathlons for years... but here is the thing. Exercise by itself is repetative, tedious and boring. How then did i do it? I combined things that were of interest. When exercise is social it is easier. Many people exerise when there is something else of interest. The moral is focus on an enviroment that has something to occupy your brain and exercise might happen. thanks for posting.

    But Jeff if I design things based off my behaviour then I might keep continuing changing jobs and that’s unsustainable. And I struggle to do repetitive things at work even if it’s pretty straightforward. It’s terribly annoying.

    • @AttentionTalkVideo
      @AttentionTalkVideo 18 дней назад

      In my research and experience things that are boring are challenging for those with ADHD. OVER simplified boredom is physically uncomfortable for those with ADHD. it takes a lot of cognitive effort to sit in boredom... thus it is hard. When coaching people on boredom them mindset isn't to try harder but rather reduce the number of steps and combine it with another more stimulating activity.

    My mother (I am 33 she is 57) denies 95% of adhd is a real diagnosis and has a bizarre story of adhd history that is completely untrue. The reality is she is the textbook definition of adhd (she makes Dori in Finding Nemo look neurotypical) and is low functioning at that (coexisting problems of hoarding and probably ASD in addition to Auditory processing disorder and dyslexia of which the latter two she owns but denies everything else and will not seek help). I’ve now realised as an adult I am probably high functioning ADHD and as my husband is definitely ADHD that our children have a high chance of it. We all work around our difficulties but it is tragic listening to her denial and its affects knowing how much better her life could be as well as our relationship if she could stop denying and seek medical and therapeutical assistance. I struggle so much realising now that I am not neurotypical and need help all my life and it’s now in my 30s that I’m getting it but also realising her denial cost me getting help earlier 😭

      @@Relaxwithnomes While you might be surprised you commented. I'm grateful. I don't have the facts of your situation so i'm ingorant and am probably way off based but... people make mistakes. Lord knows i've made my share. If i had to do them over i would. That said, I and i believe others have made decisions that were mistakes. in such situations one can feel ashamed and remain in the mistake or admit they made a mistake and try and make a better decions. I've always though humans are imperfect... being imperfect is being a perfect human. Translated, to be human is to make a mistake, and thus to admit a mistake and move on is being human. Great questions. Depends i suppose on several factors. First, is your perception! Your experience is life is defined by what you choose to pay attention to. Next the dosage and type. Your bodies reaction (substances impact everyone differently). Your individual situation and your enviroment. Finaly, any other conditions you might have. Clear as mud right? Thanks for posting.
